Peachy Skaterr:
Rollin’ around the world

What do roller stakes, a penchant for ‘60s and ‘70s fashion and feel-good vibes equal? That would be Demi Jenkins, of course! Otherwise known as Peachy Skaterr. Her love of roller skating has inspired another chapter in the life of this performer and content creator. Everly magazine caught up with Demi while on a round-the-world skating trip. She shared some funky fashion snaps from the streets of Paris (+ a few others) and chatted about her artistry, dopamine dressing, festive fun and travel gems.

How would you describe your artistic and creative background and how did you discover roller skating?

I came to roller skating quite serendipitously. I have been a dancer since the age of eight and this was my career focus leaving school. Then in my mid 20s I found hula hooping and grew addicted to the learning process. Then naturally I saw an ad for a pretty pair of roller skates on social media and thought “birthday present for me” and I seriously haven’t looked back! I literally fell in love with roller skating and it has been such a fulfilling romance.

If people haven’t seen your Instagram or TikTok yet, what’s the best way to sum up your content?

A lot of followers find me via roller skating, but it is only one piece of my quirky puzzle! Delving into the realms of fashion and video editing, my platforms reflect my play with creativity in many different forms. You’ll also find a fun, lifeloving personality that I get to showcase through my vlogs! But most of all I’m constantly evolving and moving around so my content is always adapting to what I’m doing at the time.

How did this photo shoot in Paris come about and what was the inspiration?

I met the photographer, Alex, performing in a circus cabaret show together on a cruise ship. Our inspiration for the shoot was deeply rooted in play, as we didn’t quite know what the day was going to hold. I am definitely a beacon of colour in the Parisian fashion landscape, so we found this contrast interesting…
