Hello dear readers and welcome to Everly Issue #4! I can hardly believe I’m writing that, not just because this last half of the year has zipped by insanely fast, but also that there are now four issues of Everly in existence ever since we started in the first Covid lockdown of 2020. If you’ve been a long time reader of and cheerleader for Everly you will have already noticed this issue is slightly different – yup – it’s only available in digital format. While this tough decision has tugged at my heartstrings long enough, it has been a necessary step for this small business due to the ongoing increases in print costs. Let’s see how this ‘digital only’ issue goes, but my fingers and toes are crossed for a print mag in 2024!
This issue of Everly wouldn’t have been possible without the sparkle, kindness and effervescence of the one and only Rachel Burke. Rachel was kind enough to say hello after a speaking gig a couple months ago and we got chatting. Skip forward to now and she’s on the front cover! I’m eternally grateful for being able to bring you her story – and what a fascinating multi-hyphenate she is! I honestly believe this human sunbeam is capable of anything she puts her mind to. When you read her story, you’ll see what I mean.

As always, lady startups make up a big part of this issue, so a special shout-out to all who helped make this possible with their heartfelt, honest answers… Megan from One But Many Puzzles, Kimberly from K-Rae Designs, Ashleigh from Little Black Duck and every single powerhouse business owner showcased in the Everly Gift Giving Guide. This guide will become a regular feature in future issues (the lead up to Mother’s Day will be next!), so please drop me a line if you’d like to book a spot and connect with our readers…
